“Salt Heals, Salt Takes Away” was written as an homage to driving through Los Angeles at night, particularly along the coast stretching up to Ventura; the bleary, headlight-littered darkness of the highway, the silhouettes of homes built along the Pacific, balanced on spindly piers and perpetually being corroded by the ocean’s salt.
“Salt Heals, Salt Takes Away” was commissioned by party of one (Liz Faure, guitar and Jess Tsang, percussion) for an upcoming recording project.
