Almalgama presents The Lost Words: Porter/Fisher/Sharp

Our Saviour's Atonement Lutheran Church, 178 Bennett Ave, New York, New York 10040

Amalgama presents a performance of new commissions from our 2018-19 season project, The Lost Words. A collaboration with author Robert Macfarlane and illustrator Jackie Morris based on their children's book of the same title, "The Lost Words" addresses current environmental concerns, and engages children (and adults!), with creativity and optimism.

The program features Tanner Porter's "Heather," Barry Sharp's "Late-Day Light in a Bluebell Wood," and Salina Fisher's "Kingfisher." In the spirit of collaboration and our mission to explore the areas between improvisation and notated music, Salina Fisher will join the musicians of Amalgama on stage to perform free and structured improvisations.
